To help patrons of the food pantry prepare Thanksgiving dinner, Outreach is asking that you fill a grocery bag with the non-perishable items that are traditionally used at Thanksgiving.

The choices for our October sale are Roasted Butternut Squash, Broccoli Cheddar, and Vegetable Beef soups, as well as Sandra’s hummus. Order forms are on the displays in the Simpson Room and Sanctuary and are due Sunday, October 22 for November 2-5 pickup.
If you want to send gift orders, delivered directly to the recipient, those orders are due by noon this Sunday, October 22.
Looking for a fun scare? Come to the Haunted House which will be open October 20, 21, 27, and 28, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The cost, which benefits the General Fund, is $8.
A blessing of the animals will be held at both services this Sunday, October 22.
Esmirna Matos and Alisa Lenhardt intend to travel to Puerto Rico next Sunday, October 8, to first check on Esmirna’s mother and other family, then to seek out ways in which they might help with the immediate needs in other areas.
Our Pumpkin Patch, which is a major fundraiser for our church, as well as for the Navajo Nation that grows the pumpkins, is open every day until October 31 and is run by many wonderful volunteers.

Calling all Boo Crew! October is here, so it is time to start thinking about the 2017 Haunted House.
This year the children will be putting on a Christmas pageant called Finding Christmas Under the Sea, which is a spoof on Finding Nemo.
The Pumpkin Patch is open every day until the end of October, and volunteers are needed to man it each day.

The Kickoff for Kids' Night Out is this Tuesday, September 12th, at 5:30 pm for dinner and 6 pm for study, singing, and crafts. All children and youth, kindergarten through high school, are welcome.
Sunday School will kick off its new year with classes for all ages this Sunday, September 10th, at 10:00 am. Everyone, preschool through adult, is welcome to join in study, discussion, and fellowship.
Our Saturday, September 9, 6 pm movie is Lorenzo's Oil, a 1992 American drama filmed primarily in Pittsburgh.

Leap of Faith will be performing a free concert at Harrisville UMC (Jeff Canter's church) on September 10th, 2017, at 6:00 pm. This is part of the church's Music on Main concert series. A reception will be held immediately following the concert.
